Worldfest 2013

Little Ms. Fluff was in awe.....

First off, yes, I made Little Ms. Fluff wear her London shirt to an event called Worldfest.  And let me tell you, it was a hit with those red cowgirl boots of hers.  The "Brits" especially were googl-y eyed over her.  Don't worry, it went right to her head and she immediately shed her fancy leopard vest so more people could stare at her.

Worldfest is a great event in our hometown that we enjoy every year.  And every year it is 100 degrees outside and the parents down their misery in beer they promptly sweat out and the kids eat melted ice cream like they were just rescued from a remote island with nothing to eat.  Needless to say, the idea of going is always more fun when the weather is so nasty (it even rained on us but it was such a welcome relief we stayed in it).

Enjoying some melting ice cream, Indian artifacts, awesome handmade kites and delicious plantains.

I believe in enriching a child's culture (and we do this by going to a mexican restaurant once in a while), and Worldfest is an experience that showcases cultures from around the world. Food, shopping, and entertainment from all around the world will enlighten your little one to new heights due to their unabashed love of all things, well, new.  We even got the littlest man to eat new foods and he won't even do that at home!

Next year, when Worldfest rolls around, my fingers are crossed for some better weather, but chances are good that it will be hot.  Maybe next year we will pretend to be people from an exotic tribe in the rain forest and wear next to nothing.....

Enjoy~
