Being a stay-at-home mom means you have to have a blog, right??

For some reason this first blog post has been the hardest to write (yes, I know I don't have any others posted, but I've literally been composing them in my head for weeks, then promptly forgetting them).  Where do I start? How about with some music....

We jam out to this song every morning, and by we I mean the kids and I dance like we're on fire and the hubs just kinda stares at us with a mild look of amusement on his face (don't worry, we'll break him one day).

I decided to write a blog because writing a book was too one themed.  By that, I mean, I have too many ideas.  Plus, I can write a blog post during nap time, whereas I would never be able to finish writing a book during that blissful hour and a half (maybe a picture book, but my stick figures even need work).

A lot of times I would look at blogs and just drool, then call the hubs over and ask if we could do the same thing.  Sometimes he would just walk away laughing and shaking his head, but sometimes, sometimes, he would say, yes, I think we could! However, we are poor of limited funds at the moment (who isn't, am I right?) and doing a lot of home improvement projects is not feasible.

So while each project we deem worthy of our time (more like that I begged and begged for until the hubs finally caved) is slated to take a little time to complete due to said poorness limited budget, I wanted to grace my friends and family with our day to day life.  I plan on showing a weekly menu that I try to plan every Sunday with what we have on hand, or what I know is on the grocery list.

Look for photos as I try to develop my photography skills or lack there of.  We finally splurged on a DSLR camera this past May and I am slowly learning the ins and outs of her (I have yet to take a picture on AUTO!! yay me!).  Besides, who doesn't love pictures of kids??

I love love love planning parties and will think of any excuse to throw one (my last one was a "it's the last day to use the pool" party before we let her go for winter).  I try to come up with super cute themes (non character, because to my daughter's dismay, I hate character anything) without breaking the bank.

I want this blog to be a place where people with small funds and big hearts can come and try to find ideas that allow them to say, Hey, I can do that!! I hope that you find something wonderful while visiting!  If you're looking for a little more fluff about me and the fam, click here.

Enjoy~
